MOSCOW, August 21 - RAPSI. The Russian Supreme Court will pursue criminal charges against the individuals that hacked the website of Khamovnichesky District Court, which sentenced punk rock collective Pussy Riot to two years in prison Friday, Press Secretary Darya Lyakh told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) Tuesday.

The hackers posted anti-government slogans and an obscene video clip of flamboyant Bulgarian singer Azis on the court's website. The website resumed normal operations several hours later.

Five masked members of the Pussy Riot female punk rock band performed a "punk prayer" in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior in late February. A video was later posted online and caused a public outcry. The court sentenced Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alyokhina, and Yekaterina Samutsevich to two years in prison for disorderly conduct on August 17.
