KRASNOYARSK, July 12 - RAPSI. The Krasnoyarsk Territorial Commercial Court postponed until September 6 its hearing of the Siberian Interregional Grid Company's lawsuit against the territorial finance ministry to recover $140 million in damages, the court told RIA Novosti.

The statement of claim was filed on February 9. The grid company seeks compensation for the losses inflicted by a regulation setting a uniform tariff for power transmission within Krasnoyarsk Territory for 2011.

On December 29, the court held that the tariff for 2011 was invalid. The Siberian grid company's 2011 losses from this tariff amounted to 4.607 billion rubles ($140 million).

The ministry disagreed with the claim. In May, the territorial authorities went to the Constitutional Court with a request to check if the federal law provisions on power engineering which allow tariffs to be raised comply with the Constitution.

The Siberian Interregional Grid Company transmits and distributes electrical power, servicing an area of 1.856 million square kilometers.
