MOSCOW, July 9 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court declared a recess until July 16 in hearing the lawsuit by the Deposit Insurance Agency, the Mezhprombank bankruptcy receiver, to recover from the Sredniye Torgovye Ryady (Middle Shopping Mall) development company $114 million, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency on Monday.

The hearing was postponed to allow the defendant time to review the agency's motion for increasing the claimed interest amount.

The plaintiff is seeking the repayment of a debt under 10 loan agreements, according to the agency.

The developer is disputing the amount, arguing that it has repaid its liabilities.

The agency has explained that the loans have been actually repaid in full, but these payments were recognized by the court as dubious transactions.

At the previous hearing the court requested written explanations from the plaintiff.

Sredniye Torgovye Ryady is associated with the United Industrial Corporation owned by former senator Sergei Pugachyov. The company was established to implement an investment project for the reconstruction of the historical appearance of a market place on Red Square in Moscow.
