MOSCOW, July 4 - RAPSI. The European Court of Human Rights has collected from Russian authorities 15,000 euro for a convict who complained about poor prison conditions and medical assistance, the court reports on its website.

This is not the first time the court has declared Russia in breach of a prisoner's rights. In June, it ordered Russia to pay 45,000 euro to Vitaly Buntov. In 2010, it ordered Russia to pay 25,000 euro to Vasily Rudakov.

Sergey Razvyazkin, the applicant in this case, is reported to have been serving a 13-year term for robbery and murder since 2001.

In his complaint, he noted the lack of adequate medical aid and humiliating conditions in his prison cell and punitive isolation ward.

The court has accepted his arguments and awarded him 15,000 euro in damages.
