MOSCOW, July 3 - RAPSI. The Samara Regional Commercial Court has sided with Renault Samara in its lawsuit to quash the decision to collect $7.3 million in taxes and penalties, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency on Tuesday.

The court has invalidated the tax inspectorate's October 20 decision to make the taxpayer accountable for a tax violation and the claim for 239.3 million rubles ($7.3 million) in allegedly underpaid taxes as of January 19.

On February 22, the same court upheld a ruling to suspend the tax collection.

Additionally, the company also submitted to the court a security deposit equal to the disputed amount.

The court rejected the Federal Tax Service's appeal against the court-ordered suspension until the judgment in the case comes into effect.
