MOSCOW, June 27 - RAPSI. The Chinese nationals who attempted to sell two young Russian women to China for $1,500 will stand trial, the Interior Ministry reported on Wednesday.

“The Chinese recruited young women in Siberia and sent them to China to work as prostitutes. The police managed to catch the panders red-handed,” according to the report.

“One Chinese man was detained when he paid for the women. The two young women were sold for 50,000 rubles ($1,500). The other was arrested on a train while escorting the women to China,” the ministry reported.

The suspects have been charged with “human trafficking,” which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The case will soon be referred to the court.
