MOSCOW, June 18 - RAPSI. The police detained six individuals participating in an authorized rally in central Moscow on Sunday for unfurling an inappropriate banner, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.

According to the police, the action was designed to instruct citizens on their constitutional rights and freedoms.

"During the action the participants unfurled a banner measuring 8 meters by 1.5 which was inconsistent with the proclaimed purpose of the meeting. The police later brought in six participants, including the organizer. An incident report on him was written up,” a source told RIA Novosti.

 The organizer was summoned to court while other participants were released.
