MOSCOW, June 14 - RAPSI. The Basmanny District Court has placed under detention five people who were arrested in the criminal case of the public unrest in central Moscow on May 6, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

The judge ruled for the investigators' request to place them under detention.

The court previously placed under house arrest eighteen-year-old Alexandra Dukhanina and arrested seven individuals. Thereby the court arrested 13 people involved in public disorders so far.

Mass opposition rallies began in Moscow on May 6.

Clashes with the police flared up during a procession across Moscow, which was approved by the authorities. Tens of people on both sides were injured. The police detained over 400 protesters.
