Polish court to consider arrest extension for Russian ex-prosecutor
WARSAW, June 5 - RAPSI. On Wednesday, the Nowy Sacz District Court will consider the arrest extension for former Moscow Region Deputy Prosecutor Alexander Ignatenko, the court told RIA Novosti.
"The possibility of extending Alexander Ignatenko's arrest will be discussed by the court tomorrow at 9:00 am (11:00 am Moscow Time)," said the court press secretary.
Ignatenko was named a suspect in the "underground casinos case" in 2011. He was arrested on January 1 at the Zakopane ski resort. In February, the court ruled that his extradition was allowable and extended his custody until June 9. An appellate court upheld the judgment in March. Justice Minister Jaroslaw Gowin is now due to make the final decision on Ignatenko.
