YEKATERINBURG, June 4 - RAPSI. The prosecutor's office has referred a criminal case to the court over a car accident which injured former Sverdlovsk Region Governor Alexander Misharin.

Three cars crashed on December 1. The then governor Misharin and his driver were seriously injured. The driver of the second car died, while the man and the woman in the third car were left with no injuries.

Misharin's driver was later charged with violating traffic regulations which resulted in negligent manslaughter. This crime carries a penalty up to five years in prison.

"The case has been referred to the courts for review," reads the report.
