MOSCOW, April 24 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court has suspended until May 29 its hearing of the Italian-based Bulgari S.p.A.'s lawsuit to terminate the legal protection of Almaz-M's trademarks.

According to the patent authority, Almaz-M has registered the Coral, White Coral and Red Coral trademarks for perfume, toothpaste, essential oils and baby food under the ICGS.

Bulgari claims that Almaz-M does not use the trademarks and their legal protection should be terminated.

The Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) has yet to reach the parties for comment.

Bulgari makes jewelry, perfume, beauty products, clothes, shoes and accessories. It also operates a renowned retail chain. It was reported that the French-based Moet Hennessy-Louis Vuitton, the world's leading luxury goods producer, is expected to acquire Bulgari S.p.A.

The move would boost its share of the Russian premium perfume and cosmetics market to 16-17 percent and its jewelry market share to 9-10 percent.

Almaz-M is located in Odintsovo in the Moscow region. It produces perfume and cosmetics.
