MOSCOW, April 16 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court postponed until April 27 the hearing of a top IT company's lawsuit to cancel the tax authorities' decision that it must pay $97.2 million to the budget.

In April 2011, the Federal Tax Service imposed on the LANIT IT company additional tax liabilities amounting to 1.998 billion rubles ($67.16 million) in supplementary profit tax, 230.312 million rubles ($7.74 million) in penalties and a 662.395 ($22.26 million) fine.

The company challenged the decision in November. The court also initiated provisional measures upon the plaintiff's request and suspended the execution of the tax authority's decision.

At the same time, the court demanded a reciprocal security from the company in the amount of 50 percent of the supplementary tax charges later provided by LANIT companies.

The taxpayer has also submitted to the court its cash flow reports for June 1-August 31, indicating its proceeds at 5.429 billion rubles ($182.5 million).

The Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.ru) has yet to reach the parties for comments.

LANIT is mostly involved in systems integration. One of its subsidiaries supplies computers to Moscow schools.
