MOSCOW, April 10 - RAPSI. All the 26 members of the National Union of Liability Insurers have violated competition law, the Prime business news agency reported on Tuesday referring to the antimonopoly watchdog.

The claims arose out of the union membership terms, particularly, the membership fee amount.

According to the antimonopoly service, the fee amount prevents bars of small insurers from the union membership. This restricts competition on the market of mandatory hazardous industrial facilities insurance.

Now the admission fee amounts to six million rubles ($203,000) and the membership fee -2.1 million rubles ($71,053).

The union members disagree and intend to contest the watchdogs decision.

The law on the mandatory insurance of hazardous industrial facilities came into effect on January 1, 2012. All their insurers must be the union members.
