MOSCOW, March 30 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court has prohibited Limited Liability Company BSS from voting at the meetings of Laboratory to Test Informatization Devices and Systems (LISSI) members due to violations of foreign investments law.

BSS was founded in 1994. The Company offers a comprehensive suite of services for remote banking organization for all types of bank customers. Its website says over 1,700 banks and their subsidiaries in Russia and neighboring countries are running systems developed by BSS.

LISSI develops technologies and provides solutions on information protection. It is licensed to work with encoding devices and therefore is a strategic business.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service found that BSS, whose sole participant is Satterfield Management (UK), established control over LISSI without passing the corresponding approval procedure.

Some 42 fields are considered strategic in Russia. Foreign companies have to get the approval of a governmental Commission on Monitoring Foreign Investment to acquire a stake in enterprises operating in these spheres.
