MOSCOW, March 12 - RAPSI. Opposition politician Alexander Lebedev, the representative of A Just Russia party, challenged the results of the presidential elections in the Supreme Court, the Izvestia newspaper reported on Monday.

Lebedev claims that more than 237,000 ballots came out of nowhere during the elections.

He also maintains his calculations are based on the official information, including the information of the Central Election Commission.

According to him, the election results must be nullified in a number of regions where violations were committed.

Lebedev himself has called the perspectives of his lawsuit foggy.

Billionaire candidate Mikhail Prokhorov earlier claimed that mass violations were revealed in St. Petersburg and the Moscow Region. He expressed readiness to go to court in view of such infringements.

Liberal-Democratic Party candidate Vladimir Zhirinovsky also faced problems during his election campaign in some regions.

In his opinion multiple manipulations with ballots have been exposed.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin won 63.6 percent of the vote on March 4 according to the Central Election Commission.
