Google Inc. vs Weblink Ltd.

Moscow Commercial Court

Google Inc. has filed a new lawsuit against Weblink Ltd. The plaintiff seeks to prohibit the defendant from using the googl.ru and gugl.ru domains.

The Moscow Commercial Court has already set interim measures in the lawsuit and banned the transfer of the disputed domains to third parties other than the plaintiff.

Weblink Ltd. is registered in Belize.

Kurskaya Ploshchad development company requests from the Moscow government to terminate investment contract to develop a three-star hotel. It also seeks 5.6 billion rubles ($182.6 million) in damages, of which its lost profits amount to 4.19 billion rubles ($136.8 million).

The Moscow government and Kurskaya Ploshchad signed a co-investment contract in December 2005. The company was to invest 99 percent of the project cost.

Moscow authorities first planned to complete the project by 2010, but later extended the deadline until 2013.

Raspadsky coal company vs Antimonopoly service

Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals

The Federal Antimonopoly Service ruled in 2011 that a number of companies with Raspadsky coal among them abused dominant market positions. Raspadsky coal,

however, managed to reverse the ruling in court. In November 2011 the Moscow Commercial Court held for the company in its petition.

The antimonopoly service appealed the judgment.

Raspadsky coal is the subsidiary of Raspadskaya company, which is a leading coking coal manufacturer in Russia. Raspadskaya integrates coal mining and enrichment enterprises in the Kemerovo region.

Microsoft vs Dmitry Shapovalov

Moscow Commercial Court

Microsoft seeks to prohibit Russian businessman Dmitry Shapovalov from further using the windows.ru domain due to trademark infringement.

Businessman's representative told at a preliminary hearing in January that the defendant had not received anything except two letters from Microsoft and that he didn't understand the gist of the matter.

The Demos-Internet domain names registrar is the third party in the litigation. The windows.ru website is currently blocked.

MiG-Finance vs Tupolev aircraft manufacturer

Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals

Tupolev aircraft manufacturer has filed an appeal against the judgment to award MiG-Finance, which sought debt recovery under the loan agreement, $6.39 million.

MiG-Finance's lawsuit was partially satisfied in December 2011. The plaintiff claimed 272.2 million rubles ($8.7 million).

Tupolev's core business is the development of the Tu-204/214 and Тu-334 aircraft program. The company also designs Tu-330 cargo aircraft and Тu-324 regional aircraft.

MiG-Finance is a subsidiary of MiG Aircraft Corporation.

MiG Aircraft Corporation is an aircraft industry leader and the Defense Ministry's primary contractor. The company manufactures fighters and interceptors, multi-purpose combat aircraft and light general-purpose planes for the Russian armed forces and for export.

NLMK vs IDGC of Center

Moscow Commercial Court

The Novolipetsk Iron & Steel Corporation (NLMK) seeks to recover $301.3 million in unjustified enrichment from the IDGC of Center grid company.

In December 2011the parties said they were negotiating the amicable settlement of the dispute.

NLMK is the worlds leading steelmaker.

The IDGC of Center is engaged in electric energy transmission and connection to power lines.
