MOSCOW, January 25 - RAPSI. The Federal Antimonopoly Service will soon set Metro Cash & Carry's fine for breaking Russian trade law, the service's deputy head Andrei Kashevarov told journalists.

"An administrative violation report has been executed and a decision on the fine will soon follow," he said, without specifying the amount of the fine.

The watchdog declared in November that Metro violated trade law by tying the cost of goods promotion to goods turnover. It reported in December that the fine amount is under discussion.
