MOSCOW, January 11 - RAPSI, Alyona Yegorova. The Moscow Commercial Court will hear on January 19 Moscow Tire Plant's bankruptcy case, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

The Moscow Commercial Court commenced bankruptcy proceedings against the plant on December 22, 2010.

During a hearing in July, the alleged lawyer of the company's board of directors said the plant's financial recovery may soon be resolved.

He also said the Moscow government represented by the Property Department is a primary shareholder of the factory, the enterprise bears a heavy social load and the question of restoring production and repaying debt is being discussed.

However, Moscow Tire Plant General Director Alexei Gurin questioned the lawyer's authority, claiming that the plant has no board of directors.

Additionally, Gurin noted that the plant stopped working in 2006 and it employs 15 people. The general director added that the tire plant cannot be restored in principle.
Moscow Tire Plant manufactured tires for motor cars, buses and trolleys.
