MOSCOW, January 11 - RAPSI. The Vinexim alcohol distributor filed an application for its own bankruptcy, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) on Wednesday.

According to the bankruptcy materials, Vinexim is burdened with a 4.29 billion ruble ($134.6 million) debt. The Moscow Region Commercial Court has yet to set the hearing date.

The Moscow Commercial Court held for the Russian Agricultural Bank on December 22 in its three lawsuits amounting to a total of 1.9 billion rubles ($59.6 million) against the Moscow-based Cheryomushkinsky Market and Vinexim.

The state-run Russian Agricultural Bank sought to recover the debt which stemmed from the unpaid loans. The bank claimed 956.7 million rubles ($30 million) in one lawsuit, and 520.9 million rubles ($16.3 million) and 517.5 million rubles ($16.2 million) in two others.

Besides, the court is now hearing three other claims against the same defendants for a total of 910.82 million rubles ($28.5 million) and one more claim worth 422.527 million rubles ($13.2 million).

Vinexim was set up in 2000.
