MOSCOW, December 1 - RAPSI. Moskovia Airlines has appealed the court ruling to accept an application for its bankruptcy, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

The Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals will hear on January 18, 2012 the airlines' appeal against the Moscow Region Commercial Court's decision of October 18 when the court accepted an application filed by the Financial Leasing Company (FLC).for Moskovia bankruptcy.

According to the case records the airline owes the claimant 47.3 million rubles ($1.5 million).

The regional court dropped the bankruptcy proceedings against Moskovia initiated at its own request on August 12.

Established in 1995, Moskovia Airlines is based at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. It provides regular and charter passenger and cargo flights throughout Russia, as well as to other countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
