MOSCOW, November 11 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. An appellate court will hear on November 23 an appeal against the judgment against Rado Uhren AG's lawsuit to prohibit Holmrook Limited from using its trademarks in the domain names, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) on Friday.

The Moscow Commercial Court awarded the Swiss company 50,000 rubles ($1,620) in compensation on September 9. The court will hear a similar lawsuit filed by Tissot AG in December.

Earlier, the court ordered Holmrook Limited to suspend providing other persons with the right to control the "rado.ru" and "tissot.ru" names until the dispute is resolved. The court has also prohibited the defendant from registering the domain names with another registrar.

The Swiss companies requested the court to declare control over the domain names a violation of their exclusive rights to the trademarks and trade names and prohibit the defendant from using words "rado" and "tissot" in "rado.ru" and "tissot.ru" names. Additionally, the plaintiffs wanted the court to make Russian Network Information Center cancel the domain names registration.

According to the court, the Moscow Commercial Court ordered the center on April 20 to cancel longines.ru registration in the name of Holmrook Limited in the lawsuit of Longines Watch Co.
