MOSCOW, October 18 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. A court has registered four lawsuits filed by the Sheremetyevo International Airport against the Avianova airline, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

Sheremetyevo seeks to recover over $3.3 million from the airline.

The court will hold a preliminary hearing in the airport's $1.7 million lawsuit on November 1.

The Prosecutor General's Office earlier opened a case against Avianova in October for delaying 15 flights on October 3 and 4, the prosecutor's office said.

The case was sent to the Moscow Commercial Court for consideration.

The prosecutor's office reported that Avianova ceased selling tickets on October 2, while its general director told the Federal Air Transport Agency that the airline might cease operating on October 4. However, the airline later said it would carry out flights until October 9.

The prosecutor's office opened five administrative cases against Avianova heard by the Moscow Commercial Court.

The court found the airline guilty and fined it 150,000 rubles ($4,880).
