MOSCOW, September 26 - RAPSI, Maria Gusarova. The court postponed until October 25 its hearing of a defamation lawsuit filed by the Federal Security Service against a parliamentary deputy, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reported.

The security service filed a lawsuit against State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein who said on Vesti.FM radio station on April 15 that the Federal Security Service along with other services was involved in "protecting illegal casinos in Moscow."

The service seeks to refute the information and declare it false. FSB does not seek any monetary damages.

The court satisfied a petition submitted by The All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), a second defendant in the case, which requested to postpone hearings for health reasons.
