ST.-PETERSBURG, September 22 - RIA Novosti. The commercial court has postponed until October 20 the Deposit Insurance Agency's application for the bankruptcy of an oldest engineering plant and a supervisory procedure, the court records read.

The agency acts as a successor to Petrovsky Bank which granted loans to Proletarsky Zavod engineering plant in 2008. The plant owes 1.9 billion rubles ($67.9 million) to the agency, according to case materials. So far the agency is seeking 1.2 billion rubles ($42.9 million) in three lawsuits which will be heard in October.

Proletarsky Zavod is an oldest engineering plant in St. Petersburg. It manufactures steering engines, vessel active control means, launching and recovery equipment for aircraft carriers, remotely operated subsurface vehicles and marine hoisting machines.
