MOSCOW, September 21 - RAPSI, Anna Shubina. The former top manager of a major Kazakh bank will appeal her extradition from Russia to Kazakhstan with the European court, a defense lawyer told the Russian Legal Information Agency.

Veronika Yefimova, a former BTA Bank top manager, is presently under home arrest on fraud and embezzlement charges.

The Kazakh authorities said she is an accomplice of former BTA Bank head Mukhtar Ablyazov, who was charged with plotting to steal pledged property and loans granted by the bank.

The Tverskoy District Court in Moscow issued an arrest warrant for the banker who is presently in the UK.

The Moscow City Court upheld the decision to extradite Yefimova for the fourth time on Wednesday.
