MOSCOW, September 15 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. A court fined Russia's leading insurance company Rosgosstrakh $6,580 for violating antitrust law, the federal antimonopoly service reported.

The court opened an administrative case against Rosgosstrakh on unfair competition charges. The antimonopoly watchdog said earlier the insurer provided false information about insurance premiums to win the bid for compulsory civil insurance of vehicle owners.

Rosgosstrakh manages 83 divisions across Russia, including 3,000 insurance agencies, departments and offices.
