MOSCOW, September 7 - RAPSI. The Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals has upheld the Health Ministry's decree, which refused to recognize that the Yessentuki mineral water is produced in the town of Yessentuki, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The Old Spring (Stary Istochnik) mineral water producer appealed to the Health Ministry in September 2010 to confirm that the company produces mineral water on the territory of the Yessentuki federal resort, Old Springs lawyer said at the primary court hearing.

The company sought the ministry's confirmation to register the Yessentuki trademark. However, the ministry denied the confirmation in February 2011.

Old Spring sells mineral waters in 69 regions across Russia and exports its products abroad, including to the United States.
