MOSCOW, September 6 - RAPSI. The Court of Appeals will reconsider a lawsuit on awarding Rusal 25.465 million rubles (approximately $863,520) in damages from RusHydro for the 2009 Sayano-Shushenskaya accident.

The Moscow District Federal Commercial Court made the corresponding decision and sent the lawsuit for reconsideration.

The accident at Sayano-Shushenskaya, which is owned by RusHydro, took place on August 17, 2009. The tragedy claimed the lives of 75 people. The hydropower plant stopped operating. The Sayanogorsk Aluminum Plant and the Khakassian Aluminium Plant were left without energy. Rusal assessed the damages at about 25 million rubles and filed a lawsuit against RusHydro.
