Right Cause party leader Mikhail Prokhorov sued for copyright infringement
MOSCOW, August 31 - RAPSI. A Moscow district court has received a lawsuit filed by writer Lyudmila Ropina against Right Cause political party leader Mikhail Prokhorov for copyright infringement, the courts press secretary Yekaterina Korotkova told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).
Ropina has maintained that the partys websites coloring and graphic artwork, as well as the coloring, graphic artwork, and design of billboards featuring Prokhorovs portrait were copied from youtvnews.ru, a site which she created and owns.
Ropinas statement of claims asserts that Ropina sent a draft of her website design work for the party to Prokhorov on May 17, but received no response.
The partys press service declined comment on the lawsuit to RIA Novosti.
A hearing has been scheduled for September 8, the court told RAPSI.
