MOSCOW, December 7 - RAPSI. The Prosecutor General's Office has submitted to the court a case on a terrorist attack planned for Moscow's Red Square in 2010, Marina Gridneva, the office's spokesperson, said on Friday.

She said the Prosecutor Generals Office approved the indictment against six defendants. The group committed two terrorist attacks and three attempted terrorist attacks, including an attempted explosion on Red Square on New Year's eve, and blasts in Dagestan, the Stavropol Territory and Moscow.

Investigators believe the criminal group headed by Ibragimhalil Daudov sought the separation of the North Caucasus from Russia as part of their plans to build a so-called "Caucasus Emirate."

"A number of the group's accomplices were killed during counter-terrorist operations," she said. "The Moscow City Court has convicted three more people who entered a pretrial agreement."
