MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 14 - RAPSI. Germany's Saxony Chief Prosecutor's Office has charged three former Hewlett-Packard (HP) employees of corruption: a Finn, an American, and a German. They allegedly offered a 7.5 million Euro bribe nine years ago while entering into a contract with the Prosecutor General's Office in Russia.

Germany has requested additional information from the Prosecutor General's Office, but it has thus far failed to receive the required documents. HPs Moscow office was searched in the case.

The Saxony Chief Prosecutor's Office has also tried to attract HP to the case and to recover the revenue under the transaction.

The equipment supply transaction with the Prosecutor General's Office raised questions among German prosecutors after its initiation on August 1, 2003.

In 2010, the Prosecutor General's Office received an inquiry from German law enforcement agencies asking for legal aid in the criminal case and a search of HP's Moscow office.

It was reported that there were about 10 individuals involved in the case, including three Russians, but they were not mentioned in the final list of suspects.

HP is a major US IT company supplying equipment and software for organizations and individual consumers. It is headquartered in Palo Alto, California.
